The antique building is situated on a peak about 300m above the sea and underneath the ruin of the "Castle d'Appio" is a 13th century garrison and enjoys a marvelous view of the Italian "Flower Riviera" and the French "Côte d'Azur". The hotel is located 18 Km from Sanremo and Montecarlo (Principaute de Monaco)
Under the old castle built by Roman Consul Appio Claudio in 185 B.C., in 1967 the hotel and restaurant "La Riserva di Castel d'Appio" was erected on the ruins of the old building which belonged to the same family who today is still the owner and manager of the hotel facility. A refined lounge for the winter restaurant, a flowered terrace along the swimming-pool for dinners in the candlelight, highly recommended is our fish specialities from the best traditional and international dishes. The Genoese, in the Xlll century, rediscovered the position of the castle, rising steeply 300m out of the sea, and almost totally rebuilt it. Antica dimora a 300 metri d'altitudine a picco sul mare, situata vicino ai ruderi di un Castello del XIII sec, gode di un panorama superbo a cavallo delle 2 Riviere, Costa Azzurra e Riviera dei Fiori a 18 Km di distanza sia da San Remo che da Monte Carlo (Principato di Monaco)
Sotto l'antico Castello costruito dal Console romano Appio Claudio nel 185 a.C., nel 1967 sorse
l'Hotel e Ristorante "La Riserva di Castel d'Appio" sui ruderi del vecchio casolare che apparteneva alla stessa famiglia tuttora proprietaria del complesso alberghiero. Un raffinato salone per il ristorante d'inverno, una terrazza fiorita ai bordi della piscina per cene al lume di candela, suggeriscono specialità di pesce nella migliore tradizione ligure e piatti internazionali. I Genovesi, nel Xlll secolo, riscoprono la posizione del Castello, 300 metri a picco sul mare, e lo ricostruiscono quasi integralmente. Il ristorante e le camere godono della stessa vista superba.
